Overview
The Inventory Control Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, visibility, and efficiency of inventory across company-controlled and external environments. This role partners closely with operations, supply chain, and logistics teams to maintain reliable inventory systems, resolve discrepancies, and support seamless order fulfillment and installation timelines. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional who takes pride in maintaining data integrity, improving processes, and supporting operational excellence.

Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Accuracy
Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory systems and tracking technologies
Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure data integrity
Reconcile discrepancies and investigate root causes to prevent recurrence
Inventory Movement & Logistics Coordination
Coordinate inventory transfers across internal and external locations
Track shipping activity and manage the movement of materials to customers
Support order fulfillment by ensuring inventory availability aligns with operational and installation needs
Analysis & Problem Resolution
Investigate inventory variances in partnership with supply chain, purchasing, and operations teams
Analyze inventory trends, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions
Support timely resolution of inventory issues to minimize disruption to business operations
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Prepare and maintain inventory reports and performance metrics
Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, controls, and system utilization
Assist in developing and refining inventory control policies and best practices
Operational Excellence & Collaboration
Ensure inventory is properly labeled, stored, and organized to support efficiency and accuracy
Collaborate cross-functionally to support operational priorities and customer needs
Maintain strong attention to detail to support compliance and operational reliability
Compliance & Organizational Expectations
Complete all required training within established timeframes
Maintain regular attendance and meet role expectations
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in inventory control, supply chain operations, or logistics
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong understanding of inventory management systems and controls
Proven ability to maintain accurate inventory records and minimize discrepancies
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms preferred
Familiarity with barcoding and RFID tracking technologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Effective communication and collaboration skills across functions
Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and commitment to operational excellence
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Compensation: $65k - $85k
*Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience and skills. Final compensation will be determined through a comprehensive evaluation of each candidate’s qualifications and alignment with role expectations.
