Position Title: L3 Operations Senior Compute Engineer REPORTiNG TO:                              Compute Service Operations Lead, Environment Testing Europe GEOGRAPHICAL REPORTING LOCATION:                  Coimbatore/ India NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES UNDER RESPONSIBILITY:                0              OVERALL OBJECTIVES:                  As part of the IT Infrastructure Support Team for Eurofins Environment Testing Europe, you will join a growing international team to work on maintenance of newly deployed segregated IT User Zones and Application Availability Groups Cloud infrastructure. Your role will be to support daily Compute operations tasks in a complex hybrid environment in Azure Cloud and local HyperV infrastructure.  You will collaborate with number of different IT Support and Delivery Teams on daily basis. It will require strong Azure & HyperV virtualization, AD, Security and Networking skills. Open mind and ability to cooperate with multiple individuals in a multicultural environment is essential.                                                          You will get an opportunity to drive Eurofins major IT Infrastructure transition and transformation across Environment Testing Europe Businesses. SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS: Manage, maintain and optimize Azure compute services as well as on-premises Hyper-V clusters and virtual machine infrastructure Implement automation and orchestration for deployment, scaling, and management using PowerShell Monitor compute infrastructure health, troubleshoot incidents, and execute root cause analysis to prevent recurrence Collaborate with cloud architects, network, and security teams, as well as application owners at the international corporate level to support compute capacity planning and optimization and best meet business requirements in terms of security, cost, and effectiveness Enforce security best practices and compliance requirements in cloud and on-prem environments Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code for both Azure and Hyper-V platforms Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and knowledge sharing within the compute operations team Maintain detailed documentation of operational procedures, configurations, and workflows Stay current with environment version updates, emerging technologies, and industry best practices REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: An ideal candidate should have strong experience in all of the below: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years managing compute infrastructure with strong focus on Microsoft technologies. Deep expertise in managing Hyper-V environments including failover clustering, live migration, and storage management. Solid understanding of Windows Server administration and networking fundamentals. Experience in administering and maintaining print server environments, as well as troubleshooting printing‑related issues in Windows environments. Experience with backup and disaster recovery strategies for both cloud and on-premises environments (preferably in Veeam backup environments). Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills Ability to read, understand and create technical documentation Very good command of English written and spoken Ability to present technical projects on meetings Proven experience with Microsoft Azure compute services Scripting skills in PowerShell; experience with Azure CLI and ARM templates is highly preferred. WOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE Experience in administering Linux server environments Accustomed to using ITSM tools (e.g. BMC Helix) Experience of monitoring tools (Site24x7, Grafana, etc.) Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and other Azure-native monitoring tools Experience with Azure DevOps or other CI/CD pipelines
