Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a Press / Print Operating Technician to join the team in Duluth, GA . Work Authorization: To be considered for the Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship. Your Responsibilities: Set up and operate large-format digital printing equipment, including the EFI Nozomi, according to job specifications. Review work orders and verify stock, artwork, color requirements, and production quantities before beginning each job. Initiate and run jobs according to the production schedule. Monitor print quality throughout production, including color consistency, registration, image quality, and overall accuracy against specifications. Identify print defects, press alarms, and mechanical issues and take prompt action to correct problems or involve Maintenance when needed. Perform daily startup, shutdown, routine maintenance, and preventive maintenance procedures. Complete roll or sheet changes while minimizing downtime and material waste. Meet established standards for output, uptime, waste, spoilage, and quality. Maintain accurate production logs, quality documentation, and equipment maintenance records. Coordinate with Prepress, Scheduling, Maintenance, and Finishing to keep jobs moving through production. Adhere to all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and proper chemical handling. Your Shift: 1st Shift; Monday - Friday You Must Have: 2+ years of experience operating digital or commercial printing equipment Previous experience operating a large-format digital press Experience with color management, registration, and print quality inspection Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues Ability to read and understand production work orders and technical specifications Basic computer skills for production software, job tracking, and reporting Basic math and measurement skills Ability to communicate professionally and work effectively with other departments Strong attention to detail and the ability to work within production deadlines Requirements Within This Position: Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand Regularly required to remain in a stationary position Constantly operates machinery and handles products, including print materials Frequently required to move inside the facility Regularly move up to 50 pounds by lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying Ability to stand for extended periods We Would Also Prefer: Experience with HP Indigo, HP PageWide, Durst, or similar large-format digital printing equipment Experience with corrugated packaging or POP display manufacturing Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S workplace organization About Taylor Corporation One of the largest print and communications firms in North America, Taylor’s family of companies provides a diverse set of products, services and technologies that address the toughest business challenges.
