Position Summary: The Production Control Specialist is responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining all production processes from a technical standpoint, to achieve maximum efficiency, meet quality standards, and ensure timely order fulfillment to meet On Time Delivery goals. This role participates to Continuous Improvement initiatives, monitors KPIs, and collaborates across Teams to maintain production schedules and delivery commitments to the customers. The position will also participate in the Plant expansion projects and any Plant layout optimization. It will supervise direct reports, with a clear career path toward a Process Unit Manager role.
Process Optimization – Achieve Monthly/Yearly Production Output Analyze and streamline Manufacturing workflow to reduce cycle time, minimize waste, and improve throughput. Collaborate with Process Unit Manager in the Area to implement improvement ideas.
Collaborate with Process Engineering and Operations to implement Lean Tools, and automation strategies to enhance productivity and cost efficiency.
Lead Kaizen events and root cause analysis for process deviations, with particular focus in production output and order attainment.
Evaluate equipment performance and recommend upgrades or preventive maintenance to avoid downtime.
Participate in Plant layout optimization projects to improve material flow and space utilization.
Production Scheduling & Order Attainment – Achieve Monthly/Yearly OTD Target Monitor and adjust Production Schedules to align with customer orders and delivery timelines.
Supervise production planning and audit the adherence of the Operations Team during a 24-7 operation.
Coordinate with the Supply Chain Team to resolve Raw Material constraints and maintain On Time Delivery performance.
Ensure that the resource allocation (manpower, materials, machines) supports schedule adherence.
Verify alignment of resources and performance to agreed targets.
Monitor Defective/Out of Flow (Material Review Board) products and collaborate with Supply Chain and Quality Teams to close action items and improve Time to Close KPI.
KPI Tracking & Reporting Track key performance indicators (KPI’s) such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), Production confirmations and order fulfillment metrics in each Department.
Prepare daily/weekly reports on Production Efficiency and Schedule Compliance for management review.
Use data analytics to identify trends and implement corrective actions proactively.
Leadership & Development Directly manage reports, providing guidance and monthly performance feedback.
Develop leadership skills and strategic thinking as part of a succession plan for the Process Unit Manager role.
Quality & Compliance Ensure adherence to Company Standards and internal QMS.
Collaborate with Process Engineering to support process validation for new products (TPA’s) and maintain required documentation like line capabilities or output limitations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Maintenance, Quality, and Operations Teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues that have an impact on departmental output.
Provide technical support for equipment upgrades and capacity expansion projects.
Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
Experience in Operations, Production Control, Scheduling, or Process Optimization
Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Proficiency with Microsoft excel and production reporting tools
Preferred Qualifications : Experience in cable manufacturing or high-volume manufacturing environment
Leadership or supervisory experience in a 24/7 operation
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies
Key Skills & Competencies : Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
Ability to manage production schedules and support On-Time Delivery (OTD) goals
Experience with KPI tracking, data analysis, and process improvement
Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Leadership & Development : Ability to lead teams and support operational excellence initiatives
