Position Details:  Industry Manufacturing Work Location Morton IL 61550 Job Title Logistics Transportation Analyst Duration 2 Years (Strong possibility of extension) Job Description:        This position will be responsible for a variety of Transportation-related Accounting functions, including but not limited to:  --Payment of carriers and logistics service providers  --Service validation of invoices  --Rate audit of invoices against contracts  --Root cause analysis and corrective action for process defects  --Data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that can be communicated back to Transportation Operations teams to drive supply chain improvements. Required: Looking for candidates with accounting, audit, or supply chain experience. Must be advanced user of MS Excel. SAS programming experience is desired. SQL experience is helpful.  Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, audit, or supply chain field or 2 years minimum equivalent work experience - - Advanced MS Excel experience (pivot tables, vlookups, regression and histogram) DESIRED: SAS programming experience - - SQL programming experience. Experience with audit, payables and/or supply chain. Typical Day: Most of the day will be spent writing programs to audit freight invoices. They will also be following up with carriers to negotiate settlements on billing exceptions.  Soft Skills Required: Communication. Negotiation.
