OUR PURPOSE:  Creating packaging solutions for life’s essentials.  Job Requisition #: 034850 Maintenance Manager (Open) Job Description: Greif is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance organization at our Warminster facility. This role is responsible for supervising a team of 12-15 maintenance technicians and ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing and automated high-speed production equipment. The Maintenance Manager provides leadership for all maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, troubleshooting, workforce development, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, maximizing equipment availability, supporting production goals, and fostering a strong culture of safety and accountability. Location: Warminster, Pennsylvania Shift: Day Shift - 6:00 - 3:00 PM (Weekends as required) What You'll Do As Maintenance Manager, you will provide leadership and direction for the facility's maintenance team while partnering closely with Operations and plant leadership to improve equipment reliability, production performance, and maintenance effectiveness. You will oversee maintenance planning and execution, establish priorities for repair activities, support equipment improvement projects, and implement maintenance strategies that improve safety, productivity, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Possess overall responsibility for the continuous and efficient operation of the maintenance function within the facility. Lead, supervise, and develop a team of 12-15 maintenance technicians responsible for repairing and maintaining manufacturing and automated high-speed production equipment. Manage colleagues responsible for troubleshooting equipment issues to ensure downtime is minimized and equipment failures do not negatively impact production. Review daily productivity reports and conduct routine inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and machine improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing concepts, techniques, and processes. Plan, prioritize, and schedule maintenance work orders and repair activities to minimize production downtime and operational disruptions. Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment problems and implement solutions that improve equipment reliability, capability, and yield. Procure replacement tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials necessary to support manufacturing operations. Oversee in-house design modifications, fabrication, installation activities, and employee training related to equipment operation and maintenance. Implement departmental strategies and priorities aligned with company objectives and operational goals. Ensure compliance with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), machine guarding, safety systems, and safe work practices. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the maintenance organization. Communicate departmental goals and expectations while consistently applying company policies and procedures. Recruit, train, coach, and develop maintenance personnel while fostering positive employee relations. Conduct performance evaluations, recommend compensation actions, and administer corrective action when necessary. Partner with Operations, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to support production goals and improve equipment performance. Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, Maintenance Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may also be considered. Typically 8-12 years of maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial operations experience, including leadership responsibilities. Previous experience leading maintenance teams within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Fabrication and welding experience required. Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Excel required. Electrical systems, controls, and PLC troubleshooting experience preferred. Experience in the steel industry is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience planning, implementing, and managing preventive maintenance programs. Experience managing maintenance budgets, resources, schedules, and priorities within a manufacturing environment. Knowledge and Skills Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing operations and maintenance concepts, principles, and best practices. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical/electronic, instrumentation, and computer-based systems. Experience assembling, disassembling, repairing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues. Excellent project management, planning, and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
