Lead a maintenance department   comprising   5 professionals, with 2 direct reports. This role is viewed as a “dual” role with the expectation that 70% of the time is spent on reliability improvements and 30% of time is spent to act as Manager of the maintenance team. Responsible for improving and   maintaining   reliability, operability, and mechanical integrity of plant equipment and site facilities in a cost-efficient manner.   The pa y   range   for this role is $ 110,998-$158,539 annually. Additionally, it includes   annual bonus potential, generous paid time off, 401K with company match, retirement contribution, tuition reimbursement, parental leave and medical, dental and vision coverage (no waiting period).   Major Responsibilities   Implement and manage maintenance and reliability strategies to support production and business objectives   Develop and manage the departmental budget   Share technical best practices at the site and within the international Covestro network   Continuously improve asset availability in collaboration with internal stakeholders through KPIs and process optimization   Resolve complex technical issues using Root Cause Analysis   Ensure safety and regulatory compliance   Implement standards, systems, and KPIs (asset availability targets) for   optimal   asset   utilization   Develop and inspire maintenance and reliability professionals   M anage external partners and contractors   Foster a culture of safety, ownership, and continuous improvement   Site expert for SAP PM and TMM   Follow the site’s management of change process when implementing improvements   Provides technical support to the production and maintenance teams in a 24/7 manufacturing environment   Implement Preventative (PM)/ Predictive Maintenance ( PdM ) techniques/technologies to   determine   functional status of equipment. Based on PM/ PdM   findings, make recommendations on changes/modifications to equipment asset policies and stay informed of the latest PM/ PdM   techniques and tools and recommend applications.   Follow up on unexpected failures to   determine   if inspection/analysis techniques require modification to provide the proper   indication   of potential future failure.   Collaborate with engineering and equipment experts to   determine   required changes to FMEA/RCM/EMP    Has up-to-date knowledge about relevant internal regulations,   aligns   and communicates on site level to   assure   compliance with company policies in the field of asset reliability.   Identify   and provide resource needs and skillsets   required   to achieve   availability   targets and goals.   Assures uniformity in technical standards and technical operations at the site.   Has functional responsibility for   people   development in the site's reliability/maintenance team.   Define and implement the maintenance plan including preventive and predictive maintenance plans, in line with the agreed manufacturing plan,   in order to   ensure maximum availability of the production facilities   on   the short and the long term.   Manage and   monitor   the execution of the maintenance plan and take corrective actions   in order to   achieve the results.   Analyze the plant and   determine   the criticality of installed equipment. For critical equipment, perform Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA), equipment specific for high critical and   generic for   medium critical.   Identify   and prioritize performance killers and cost drivers related to equipment reliability by evaluating the performance of the plant, using statistical methods, RCA (Root Cause Analysis )   and FMEA (Failure Mode & Effect Analysis)   Propose and initiate solutions to   eliminate   actual and potential performance killers and discuss with stakeholders (maintenance, production, business, etc.). Ensure handover to   appropriate work   process .   What You Offer   Basic Qualifications   Bachelors   degree in an Engineering field   At least 10 years of experience   in manufacturing/production in a maintenance or technical support role   Preferred Qualifications   Experience working in the Chemical industry   Experience in reliability improvement is strongly preferred.   Experience in using SAP maintenance is strongly preferred.   Knowledge & Skills:   A demonstrated record of strong leadership, teamwork skills, change management, strategic thinking,   planning   and organizing, decision making, and root cause analysis   #LI-AD1   YOUR APPLICATION Are you as curious, courageous and colorful as we are?
