Manager, Landscaping

Summary: The Landscape Manager will lead our landscape operations and crew. Must have strong leadership skills, proven experience in crew supervision, and a solid background in irrigation systems, plant health care, and land management. A customer-service mindset and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members is essential. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Supervise and lead a team of grounds crew members in daily landscaping and maintenance tasks Develop and manage a routine schedule for mowing, trimming, irrigation, fertilization, pruning, mulching, and seasonal clean-up Maintain and troubleshoot irrigation systems to ensure optimal functionality Monitor plant, turf, and tree health; apply or coordinate pest and disease control treatments as needed Serve as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding grounds-related needs or concerns Source and procure landscaping materials (mulch, plants, tools, etc.) within budget Maintain and manage landscaping equipment, ensuring all tools are safe, serviced, and accounted for Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company policies Assist with long-term landscape planning and improvement projects Provide training, performance feedback, and leadership to crew members Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise and lead a team of grounds crew members Education and/or experience: Bachelor’s Degree or 3+ years of experience managing a landscape/grounds crew Strong background in irrigation systems, horticulture practices, and grounds maintenance Proven ability to manage labor, schedules, and landscape material procurement Excellent communication and leadership skills Customer-service oriented with a professional demeanor Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Ability to work outdoors year-round and perform physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs, equipment operation, etc.) Preferred: Bilingual preferred George’s is committed to providing reasonable accommodation to, among others, individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans.
