Job Title: Manager, Mechanical Engineering R&D Job Description: Here at Entegris, we use advanced science to enable technologies that transform the world, and we are seeking employees who have the drive to continue that mission.   The   Role: Entegris is currently seeking a   Mechanical Engineering Manager   to join our   Advanced Deposition Hardware   team. This position will be based   in   our   Round Rock, TX   facility.   Entegris is seeking an experienced   mechanical engineering manager   to lead the development of   next ‑ generation   semiconductor hardware/delivery systems solutions. In this   high ‑ impact   leadership role, you will guide a   mechanical   engineering team through the full product lifecycle — from concept and design to validation, manufacturing, and customer deployment.   You’ll   shape the future of our hardware portfolio by driving innovation, partnering with global manufacturing teams, and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of performance, quality, and reliability. What   You’ll   Do   W ork closely with   systems   engineering, electrical engineering,   controls ,   materials scientists , manufacturing, and supply chain teams to deliver   liquid and solid precursor delivery systems c apable of supporting   leading edge   semiconductor processes , strict defectivity targets, and   high ‑ volume   manufacturing (HVM) Lead a team of   mechanical   engineers in the design, development,   verification   and deployment of semiconductor delivery system products for solid and liquid ALD and CVD precursors    Ensure mechanical designs support critical ALD requirements including:   Ultra‑clean vacuum environments  Precise thermal management  Uniform gas delivery and purge performance  Product stability across thermal cycling  Drive design decisions related to:   Vacuum components and process monitoring   Materials selection for contamination control  High‑temperature and corrosive chemistries  Tool maintainability, ease of use and uptime  Work with contract manufacturers domestically and internationally on designing, building, testing, qualification, and continuous improvements of Entegris delivery systems and hardware within a   Design for   Six Sigma (DFSS) approach Research and   identify   improved hardware sub-components (valves, pressure transducers, control   systems   etc.) to be used to better overall customer satisfaction with the cost, performance, quality, safety, and delivery of our hardware products Manage, develop, and document intellectual property in collaboration with Entegris legal Create, manage, and   validate   the deliverables from product development to the release   to   manufacturing Drive internal and external engineering resources to meet the needs of customers   regarding   overall product performance and project timelines Manage the professional development of the engineering team, with a focus on semiconductor technical acumen ,   technical project   execution   and continuous improvement Engage with product marketing, field service   engineering   and customers on detailed functional requirements for our delivery systems and hardware products What   We   Seek   Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering   ( Master’s   preferred)    8+ years of mechanical engineering experience, including:    3+ years in a technical leadership or   people ‑ management   role   Direct experience designing semiconductor processing equipment, preferably:    ALD, CVD, or related   vacuum ‑ based   deposition tools   Strong background preferred in: P recision mechanical design,   vacuum systems and leak integrity, thermal management and heat transfer, materials   selection   for corrosive and   high ‑ temperature   environments   Ability to balance innovation speed with robustness and manufacturability    Clear communicator who can align   cross ‑ functional   teams   Proficiency   with 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, NX) and engineering analysis methods    Experience transitioning designs from R&D to   high ‑ volume   manufacturing   Knowledge of semiconductor industry standards, safety requirements, and cleanliness protocols   What  we offer Our   total   rewards   package   goes   above   and   beyond   just   a   paycheck.   Whether   you’re   looking to build your career, improve your health, or protect your wealth, we offer generous benefits to help you achieve your goals.   Generous   401(K)   plan   with   an   impressive   employer   match   Excellent   health,   dental   and   vision   insurance   packages   to   fit   your   needs   Flexible   work   schedule   and   11   paid   holidays   a   year   Paid   time   off   (PTO)   policy   that   empowers   you   to   take   the   time   you   need   to   recharge   Education   assistance   to   support   your   learning   journey   Entegris does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
