CORE JOB FUNCTIONS                                                                                                           Lead end-to-end pharmacy clinical program and systems initiatives by gathering requirements from clinical, operational, and financial stakeholders and translating strategic priorities into actionable implementation plans. Develop and maintain comprehensive business requirements documents (BRDs), workflows, functional specifications, and project documentation to support pharmacy clinical, operational, and financial initiatives. Serve as the primary liaison between Pharmacy and IT, including Epic, to ensure accurate translation of requirements into system design, build, testing, user acceptance, validation, and go-live readiness. Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of clinical decision support tools, including Epic BPAs, by defining trigger logic, workflow integration, thresholds, and inclusion/exclusion criteria while balancing clinical effectiveness and alert fatigue mitigation. Define and operationalize high-value patient cohorts, including specialty populations, high-risk patients, and adherence gaps, by partnering with analytics teams to develop cohort logic across EHR, claims, and pharmacy platforms. Support pharmacy registry development, population health reporting, and targeted interventions that improve clinical outcomes, medication adherence, revenue optimization, and value-based care performance. Lead implementation of pharmacy clinical programs, service line expansions, and workflow enhancements across specialty pharmacy, ambulatory services, transitions of care, and other pharmacy initiatives. Coordinate cross-functional efforts across Pharmacy, IT, Nursing, Finance, Quality, and executive leadership to ensure alignment between strategic objectives and frontline execution. Facilitate governance structures, working sessions, and executive reporting processes; proactively identify and escalate risks, trade-offs, and key decisions to support successful implementation. Define, monitor, and report key clinical, operational, and financial performance indicators through dashboards and executive reporting to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement. Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.  Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures. CORE QUALIFICATIONS                                                                                                          Education: Pharm D required Certification and Licensing: 340B certification required or completion within first 30 days of hire Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience DEPARTMENT ADDENDUM Department Specific Functions Clinical Informatics & Decision Support Lead the intake, prioritization, and execution of pharmacy-related informatics initiatives Translate clinical and operational needs into Epic build requirements, including BPAs, order sets, and workflow enhancements Partner with IT/Epic teams to support design, build, testing (UAT), and optimization of clinical decision support tools Business Requirements & Workflow Design Develop and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), workflow diagrams, and use cases for pharmacy initiatives Facilitate structured requirements gathering sessions with clinical, operational, and administrative stakeholders Ensure alignment between clinical intent, operational workflows, and system capabilities Support documentation standardization across all pharmacy projects Patient Cohort Development & Population Health Define, validate, and maintain targeted patient cohorts for clinical programs (e.g., specialty pharmacy, high-cost therapies, adherence risk) Collaborate with analytics teams to build cohort logic using EHR, claims, and pharmacy data sources Enable deployment of targeted interventions tied to quality metrics, outcomes improvement, and reimbursement models Support development of registries and population health reporting tools Pharmacy Clinical Program Enablement Support implementation and scaling of pharmacy-led clinical programs, including: Specialty pharmacy services Ambulatory clinical pharmacy programs Transitions of care initiatives Medication safety and adherence programs Align program design with system strategy, regulatory requirements, and financial performance goals Ensure integration of programs into clinical workflows and supporting systems Project Intake, Governance & Prioritization Support project intake processes including request evaluation, impact assessment, and prioritization Participate in governance structures (e.g., steering committees, informatics review boards) Ensure projects are aligned with AVP strategic priorities and resource capacity Track project pipeline and dependencies across initiatives Data, Analytics & Performance Measurement Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across clinical, operational, and financial domains Partner with Business Intelligence teams to develop dashboards and reporting solutions Ensure traceability from project requirements to measurable outcomes Support data validation and integrity across pharmacy initiatives Process Improvement & Standardization Identify opportunities to improve pharmacy workflows, system utilization, and operational efficiency Standardize processes across inp
