Manufacturing Production Supervisor

TSC is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor based in Huntsville, AL, to join our team in a fast paced, dynamic environment. The candidate will direct the production functions for high quality products and to achieve the business drivers of cost, quality, customer service, compliance, and delivery. Responsibilities Responsible for the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance Effectively and efficiently manage the production of the required daily/weekly/monthly targets in line with customer specifications, meet quality and delivery expectations, minimize costs where possible, and ensure the required best working practices are maintained at all times Responsible for plant production, meeting customer requirements, and maintaining the orderly and productive operation of planned activities Ensure the target productivity level is achieved on a daily basis Update the production plan on a daily basis Communicate and liaise with other departmental managers regarding throughput of stock to ensure production targets are met Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions Produce written reports and make presentations Undertake continuous training and development Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in related field and 8-10 years of industry experience US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance Prior supervisory experience Understanding of manufacturing technologies, machinery, and production processes Knowledge of safety standards and regulations Exceptional understanding of business operations and program management recurring tasks, reports, and workflows across supporting functional areas and operational teams Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with quality assurance protocols, ensuring products meet specifications and standards In-depth understanding of workplace safety regulations (e.g., OSHA standards) Lean Manufacturing Certification, Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Manufacturing Technologist (CMfgT) a plus Experience outlining and executing project objectives, goals, milestones, and completion Previous experience and knowledge with US Government compliance for timekeeping and expense reports, contract clauses, or similar governance Comfortable serving as focal point for coordinating with multiple geographically separated work centers in different time zones to achieve time sensitive deadlines for products, work plans, or deliverables Strong attention to detail; excellent organization, planning skills, and verbal and written communication Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and get along with others Ability to quickly learn new scope of work and grow with a scaling team  TSC Benefits: TSC offers a stable work environment, a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package; including ESOP contributions, 401k Matching Program, Flexible Work Schedules, Tuition Reimbursement, Paid Leave and much more.
