MATERIAL SORTER

Overview As a Sorter , you’ll get to hand sort pallets and other materials within a distribution facility and ensure high levels of safety and cleanliness. This is the perfect role for someone looking to maintain high levels of activity and it is vital to the success of our plant’s production!  Hourly Pay:  $18.00/Hr.                  Shift(s):  1st Shift Monday - Friday 5:30 AM - 1:45 PM     Location:  Richmond, IL, 60071 This role is a probationary role for which you will work 60-90 days and then have the opportunity to be considered for transfer to a piece rate role in which you could make $25-30/hr depending on your performance!  What You'll Do Hand stack pallets to appropriate heights  Load and unload materials from trailers by hand  Move pallets, or materials on pallets or in crates, around the facility  Check loads to make sure they are secure  Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards  Coordinate trailers moves within yard management system  Accurately complete production paperwork to track progress  Communicate directly with plant management regularly  What You'll Need High school degree or GED required Excellent oral and written communication skills needed Ability to work overtime when needed What We Offer Competitive Pay, Holiday Pay, and Daily Pay – Access to your earned wages before payday!  Referral Bonuses  Long-Term Career Advancement Paid Time Off  Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life, AD&D, and Short-Term & Long-Term Disability insurance for Eligible Full Time Employees  401(k) Retirement Plan  Great Team Environment  What It's Like 48forty Solutions is the largest pallet management services company in North America!
