This position is primarily based on campus at the Texas A&M–Fort Worth location and supports rural clinical partnerships across the state. The role provides longitudinal, wraparound care from preconception through one year postpartum, ensuring continuity, safety, and improved maternal outcomes. Responsibilities include direct clinical care, proactive care coordination, patient-centered education, and collaboration with rural healthcare teams and community partners to address medical, behavioral health, and social drivers of maternal health. This is a wage position established to accommodate a temporary organizational need. As such, TAMU does not guarantee any set number of hours or length of employment in this role. What you need to know Salary:   W ill be   commensurate   based on the selected hire’s education and experience .  Location/Schedule: Fort Worth, TX/Part-Time;    This position is primarily in-office and based on campus, with regular on-site presence required to support clinical operations and program activities. This position may require up to 20% travel to partner rural clinical sites, stakeholder meetings, or outreach events. You can upload both documents   in   the CV/Resume section of the application.   Responsibilities Clinical Care & Telehealth Services Delivers comprehensive, evidence-based perinatal care to patients across multiple rural clinical sites in Texas through secure telehealth platforms and in collaboration with partner clinics. Integrates seamlessly into multiple rural practice settings and electronic medical record (EMR) systems, maintaining accurate, timely documentation in accordance with each site’s clinical and regulatory requirements. Utilizes electronic health records, remote monitoring tools, and secure communication platforms to ensure high-quality, accessible maternal health services. Conducts virtual preconception, prenatal, antenatal, and postpartum consultations through one year postpartum, including routine assessments, risk stratification, follow-up, and chronic disease management. Assesses, diagnoses, and manages low- to moderate-risk obstetric conditions within APRN scope of practice and collaborates with consulting physicians and specialists for high-risk cases. Orders, interprets, and manages laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies as clinically indicated. Prescribes medications and therapeutic interventions in accordance with Texas APRN regulations and collaborative practice agreements. Ensures accurate documentation, coding, and billing practices across multiple clinical systems consistent with payer requirements and telehealth regulations. Maintains compliance with HIPAA, telehealth laws, organizational policies, and site-specific protocols. Identifies workflow or technical barriers impacting care delivery and collaborates with site leadership and IT support to resolve issues efficiently. Care Coordination, Outreach & Program Growth Provides proactive care coordination across multiple rural healthcare systems to ensure continuity of care from preconception through one year postpartum. Screens for and addresses medical, behavioral health, and social drivers of health impacting maternal outcomes, facilitating appropriate referrals and follow-up. Coordinates transitions of care between telehealth services, local clinics, delivering hospitals, and specialty providers to reduce fragmentation and improve maternal safety. Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with rural clinic staff, hospital leadership, and community partners to strengthen integration of maternal health services. Participates in outreach efforts to rural clinics, hospitals, and community stakeholders to increase awareness, engagement, and utilization of maternal health services. Assists with onboarding and workflow integration of new partner sites, including alignment of clinical protocols and documentation processes. Supports expansion of maternal health services through participation in meetings, presentations, and stakeholder engagement activities as assigned.
