Location: Billings, Montana, United States Job ID: R0016588 Date Posted: 2023-03-07-08:00 Company Name: H-E Parts International Mining Solutions Usa Inc Profession (Job Category): Engineering & Science Job Schedule:  Full time Remote: No Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY: Mechanic is responsible to clean, teardown, inspect and troubleshoot, and reassemble heavy equipment components such as hydraulic cylinders, final drives, and differentials. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Conduct all activities with safety as a priority adhering to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures. · Observe and be knowledgeable of all company policies and procedures. · Check tolerances, dimensions, and specification by using precision instruments, such as outside/inside mics, spring gauges, telescoping gauges, chrome thickness gauge, etc. · Determines components specifications by measuring tolerances and comparing them to drawings and documentation. · Inspect torn-down components to identify defects and flaws. · Complete inspection forms, document work by taking photos and recording details of inspections and finding on inspection report. · Establishes clearances, torque values, lengths, etc. by performing mathematical calculations. · Moves components by operating overhead cranes, jib hoists, forklifts, etc. · Cleans parts by chemical or mechanical methods to remove excess dirt/debris. · Assembles components by using specialized, pneumatic/hydraulic/electric tooling, such as impacts, presses, and torque wrenches ect. · References component information and use of computer to review processes and order parts. · Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: · High School Diploma or GED required. · 2+ years mechanical experience in heavy equipment, automotive or similar required. · Strong written and verbal communications skills. · Reliable and dependable – able to maintain good attendance and ready for work at the start of shift. · Willingness to learn and is a team player. · Basic understanding of precision measuring tools.
