Security Clearance Type: None/Not Required Security Clearance Status: Not Required This is an entry level position into the Cargo Assembly group. As a Mechanical Assembler I, you will work under the direct supervision of a Manufacturing Team Leader. This position is responsible for performing assembly operations as detailed in the Manufacturing Order and engineering drawing, functional testing of product, and kitting/packaging of hardware for shipment. Individuals must be quality oriented, able to work in a team environment, and maintain a safe and clean work environment. What You Will Do: Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions. Operates hand tools, air tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment and light equipment. Maintains inventory of product in workstations. Performs quality work checks Identify product defects and records identified defects. Reworks and/or repairs assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes. Performs all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures. Maintains a clean and safe work area. Qualification You Must Have: Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline Qualification We Prefer: Basic computer knowledge Use of hand and power tools Support Customer Demands Ability to function productively as part of a team Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
