Mechanical Engineer I

Responsibilities Conduct static analyses of mechanical structures or develop solid models to predict stress and structural performance. Conduct FEA of complex structures to determine mechanical shock survivability in a shipboard environment Develop mechanical shock test procedures Assist the Design Team with material selection using proper commercial and/or Military Specifications. Conduct Quality Assurance reviews of design and engineering products. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil or structural engineering. Ability to maintain a DOD Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines: Be comfortable in relatively confined spaces. Capable of climbing vertical ladders (20’ – 25’) within the submarine. The salary range for this position is USD $69,000.00/Yr. - USD $72,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
