Organ Surgical Recovery Coordinator (Looking for Paramedic, EMT or Medical Surgical Assistants)

With nearly $150M in operating revenues, NEDS employs 399 clinical and non-clinical staff members throughout New England and across the country. Our vision is to be a leader in the development and implementation of strategies to increase the life-saving and life-enhancing gifts of organ and tissue donation through effective relationships with our clinical partners, donor families and the communities we serve. As an  Organ Surgical Recovery Coordinator,  you will be present in the OR assisting surgeons as they recover organs, and you will facilitate the process for organ preservation including the use of cutting edge mechanical perfusion devices. You will also independently perform the recovery of corneas and heart valves for transplant from deceased donors. Additionally, you will be responsible for arranging the logistics for the recovery of organs for transplant by organizing team transportation and communicating with NEDS and hospital staff. At the end of each day, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you contributed to life saving and life enhancing initiatives. Schedule: This is a full-time position with 24 hour on-call shifts. Shifts begin at 8:00am and end at 8:00am.
