The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As an Outpatient Content Management Consultant with expertise in outpatient CDI, outpatient facility coding, and professional coding, you will apply advanced subject matter knowledge to develop, validate, and maintain education and content that supports accurate documentation, compliant coding, reimbursement integrity, and customer success. Here, you will make an impact by: Applying advanced expertise in outpatient CDI, outpatient facility coding, and professional coding, including emergency department, observation, ambulatory surgery, interventional radiology, cardiology, infusion/injection, diagnostic testing, Evaluation & Management services, and provider-based billing, to support accurate documentation, coding, reimbursement, and compliance outcomes. Using coding and payment methodology expertise, including APC, PFS, risk adjustment (HCC, CRG, etc.), quality indicators, medical necessity, population health, and coding compliance, to develop education, validate content accuracy, and current regulatory and reimbursement requirements. Developing, reviewing, and maintaining training materials, reference resources, workflows, and customer-facing education for Solventum’s Visit Integrity training program, while partnering with the Solventum Technical Writing team to translate complex coding, CDI, payment, and regulatory guidance into clear, accurate, and usable content within established editing and content management platforms. Coordinating Solventum’s monthly education network, including topic planning, speaker coordination, presentation review, session facilitation, and follow-up resource management to support ongoing customer and internal education. Collaborating directly with coding, CDI, clinical, product, technical writing, and customer teams to address content questions, review customer scenarios, support implementation needs, and provide subject matter expertise for outpatient coding and documentation integrity solutions. Your Skills and Expertise  To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university with (8) eight years of experience in coding and CDI in a private, public, government or military environment OR High School Diploma/GED AND twelve (12) years of experience in coding and CDI in a private, public, government or military environment In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required: Current RHIA or RHIT credential with CCS, CCS-P, or CPC certification. Demonstrated outpatient CDI expertise, including documentation review, query development, compliant query practice, provider education, diagnosis specificity, and clinical validation support. Demonstrated outpatient coding expertise, including facility and professional coding across emergency department, observation, ambulatory surgery, infusion/injection, diagnostic testing, interventional radiology, cardiology, E/M, CPT/HCPCS, modifier use, and provider documentation requirements. Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply coding, CDI, payment, and regulatory guidance, including ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, NCCI, LCD/NCD, OPPS/APC, MPFS, HCC/risk adjustment, quality measures, medical necessity, and customer-facing content development. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Master’s degree in HIM, healthcare administration, clinical discipline, or related healthcare field AHIMA (RAC) and/or AAPC (CRC) risk adjustment certification Seven (7) or more years of advanced outpatient CDI, HIM, coding, or revenue cycle consulting experience in mid-to-large acute care, ambulatory, or physician practice settings Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, APC, OPPS, MPFS, medical necessity, coding compliance, healthcare billing, and revenue cycle management Working knowledge of risk-adjusted methodologies, including CRG, CMS-HCC and HHS-
