Audit payments from commercial and workers compensation carriers for consistency with contracted fee schedule and follow up with carriers as appropriate to resolve underpayments
Conduct follow-up inquiries regarding missing insurance payments
Correct and resubmit denied claims
Process written appeals
Track denial/payment trends
Communicate with staff and patients to resolve payment issues
Answer billing questions for patients and implement solutions to remedy issues
Process patient credit card payments
Data entry
Verifying current personal and financial information
Maintaining patient charts and electronic medical records
Collecting, posting, and depositing patient payments
Faxing, filing, and performing any other duties as assigned
High school degree or equivalent
Excellent in-person and phone customer service
Proficient in Word or Excel
Close attention to detail
Great time management and organizational skills
Be available for a full-time schedule, Monday - Friday, 40 hour work week
Team player attitude and energetic with a focus on excellent customer service
Previous experience working in a medical/physical therapy billing role is preferred but not required.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $25.00-$30.00. Pay is based on various factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The Company's incentive compensation plan is subject to change. Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits are also available, subject to the terms of the Company's plan.
