Damar is looking for a talented and motivated Patient Services Coordinator that acts as medical administrative support staff for Damar Health Services. The Patient Services Coordinator oversees the scheduling and follow up of medical appointments, coordinates and schedules medical appointments. Performs medical billing and coding for Damar Medical Services providers.

Remarkable ways you will be making a difference:
Assists with processing of medical records requests as needed
Preparation of information that will be needed for patient visits
When necessary, contacting patients for reminders of information that is required
Confirm patient demographics and update any new or changed information regarding the patient, verify insurance coverage, scan required documents into patient’s chart
Collect Insurance co-payments, collect previous balances
Checking patients in to clinic: includes having patients fill out forms completely, entering all patient information into EMR, and verifying patient insurance
Answering phones to schedule patients, answer patient questions, and send messages to providers
Direct calls as appropriate
Managing and routing incoming faxes and patient emails
Provide multidisciplinary support
What you need to be considered:
HS Diploma or GED required
2 years of experience in a medical setting preferred
Minimum age of 18 per licensure requirements
Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)
Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
