Job Description Summary The Patient Transporter plays a vital role in providing safe, courteous, and timely transportation of patients throughout the MUSC campus. This position ensures efficient patient movement between departments while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, safety, and service. Assist with patient transfers involving stretchers, wheelchairs, or beds as appropriate. Respond promptly to transport requests from clinical areas. Ensure cleanliness and functionality of transport equipment. Provide excellent customer service and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to ensure seamless and comfortable transitions for patients. Ideal Candidate Will Possess: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Compassionate and professional demeanor. Physical ability to transport patients safely and efficiently. This position will have various shifts available including but not limited to; Day Shift Evening Shift Overnight Shift Rotating Weekends Shift differentials dependent upon shift schedule. Additional Job Description ​ Minimum Requirements: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Work Experience: 0–6 months of relevant experience preferred (training provided).
