Overview
East Penn is currently seeking a Payroll Analyst to work in the Payroll Department in the Corporate Office in Lyon Station, PA. The Payroll Analyst is responsible for accurately processing complex payroll and related data to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This is a high impact role that will help strengthen processes, documentation and compliance for a critical business function.
Responsibilities
Coordinate payroll related information with plant administrative staff, Medical and Personnel
Review and verify timecards, approvals, and payroll data, investigating and resolving discrepancies between EICS and WFM
Review payroll data to ensure compliance with company pay policies not automated in Dayforce
Prepare, validate, and manage payroll import processing for various bonuses and incentive payments to ensure accuracy
Manage manual payroll processes requiring calculation of earnings in accordance with company policies; create adjustments and process updates as needed
Audit payroll data prior to processing to identify and correct errors, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely employee payment
Respond promptly to pay-related inquiries from employees and support staff, demonstrating a strong sense of urgency and commitment to timely resolution
Enter and process payroll adjustments in WFM to resolve pay issues, including corrections originating from EICS
Support audits, reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance initiatives
Review and audit payroll data to ensure accurate tax treatment across jurisdictions and subsidiaries
Assist with quarter end and year end reconciliations, filings, and W 2 processing
Maintain and update payroll policies and workflow documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency
Prepare and deliver financial and payroll data for audits and ad hoc requests
Participate in cross functional projects based on organizational priorities
Other duties and assignments as requested by management
Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in Payroll
Education/Certification
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate degree in accounting or business preferred
Skills & Competencies
Required:
Strong knowledge and understanding of the Payroll function
Preferred working knowledge of Dayforce or another automated payroll system
Ability to analyze problems and strong critical thinking skills are essential
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail is critical
Dependable and effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills; a team player with proven ability to work across functional areas
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate (when appropriate) to manage time efficiently and to meet deadlines
Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite preferred
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
