As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll partner with talented licensed Physical Therapists to deliver exceptional care in our fast-paced acute care hospital setting. Deliver engaging physical therapy treatments to acute care patients under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist, bringing established care plans to life while following hospital protocols
Empower patients through therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities that build strength, flexibility, and independence—watching real progress happen every day
Track patient progress with keen observation and detailed documentation, keeping the supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team informed of exciting developments and any changes in patient status
Educate and inspire patients, family members, and caregivers by teaching prescribed exercises, safety strategies, assistive device techniques, and home exercise programs that support successful transitions from acute care
Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and timely documentation of all patient treatments and clinical observations in compliance with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and electronic health record systems
Collaborate seamlessly with patients, caregivers, interdisciplinary team members, physicians, and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated, compassionate care that makes a real impact
Partner with the Physical Therapist to refine and evolve care plans based on patient progress, treatment response, and changing clinical needs in the acute care setting
Actively participate in case conferences and discharge planning to champion safe patient transitions and continuity of care
Expand your skillset by providing physical therapy services in our outpatient orthopedic clinic on a PRN basis
Champion patient safety and quality care by adhering to all federal, state, and local regulations, HIPAA requirements, hospital policies, and professional standards of practice
Create and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming treatment environment that enhances patient comfort and supports optimal therapeutic outcomes in both acute care and outpatient settings
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of residence or eligibility for licensure
Current certifications in First Aid, AED, and CPR
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
Excellent organizational and documentation skills with meticulous attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and manage multiple patient cases
Physical capability to perform hands-on therapeutic interventions and patient handling
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality
Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and follow clinical protocols
Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare environment
