Job Summary:
About this Position:
We are seeking a Physical Therapist who is passionate about treating patients that excludes orthopedic and neuro care. The optimal PT thrives in managing a medically complex patient population. This role manages a diverse caseload of individuals with cancer, muscle tension dysphonia conditions, and chronic pain syndromes such as fibromyalgia. Care emphasizes comprehensive evaluation, individualized treatment planning, and close interdisciplinary collaboration to address functional limitations, fatigue, deconditioning, and symptom management. Treatment approaches integrate both land-based therapeutic interventions (strengthening, mobility, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training) and aquatic therapy in a one-on-one setting with 50 minutes allowed per visit and dedicated documentation time.
Vanderbilt Health is looking for an experienced PT who values clinical variety, interdisciplinary collaboration, and creative problem-solving, and who is motivated to help patients improve quality of life.
Hours: Outpatient Setting, no weekends or holidays. Day hours, prefer 8:00 am -5:00 pm
JOB SUMMARY
Provides physical therapy services to patients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease or other causes under occasional guidance. Actively collaborates with the health care/educational team to meet patient care, outcomes and system improvement objectives.

Your Impact
As a Physical Therapist, you will:
Evaluate and treat patients experiencing functional limitations related to cancer, cancer treatments, chronic pain, fatigue, deconditioning, neurologic conditions, and other medically complex diagnoses.
Develop individualized treatment plans designed to improve function, mobility, endurance, and quality of life.
Deliver evidence-based interventions, including:
Therapeutic exercise
Functional mobility training
Neuromuscular re-education
Cancer rehabilitation and prehabilitation
Chronic pain management strategies
Endurance and conditioning programs
Aquatic therapy
Community reintegration activities
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
Educate patients and caregivers on symptom management, energy conservation, mobility, and wellness strategies.
Contribute to the continued growth and development of an expanding specialty rehabilitation program.
