Position Summary Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital is seeking a PRN Physical Therapists to provide patient-centered rehabilitation services across multiple care settings, including Acute Care, Inpatient Rehabilitation, and Outpatient Rehabilitation. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse patient populations while collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, and care management teams to support recovery, mobility, independence, and safe discharge planning. PRN scheduling is designed to promote work-life balance with flexible start and end times. We are currently seeking therapists with availability on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Flexible shift options, including 4-hour and 8-hour shifts, may be available based on departmental needs and candidate availability. Our rehabilitation teams are committed to delivering individualized, evidence-based care while maintaining manageable patient volumes that support quality treatment and positive outcomes. Acute Care Average of 10 patients per 8-hour day Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Progressive Care, Intensive Care, and Post-Operative populations Focus on early mobility, functional recovery, discharge planning, and fall prevention Outpatient Rehabilitation Average of 10 patients per day 45-minute individual treatment sessions No double-booking of patients Emphasis on orthopedic, neurologic, and functional rehabilitation Inpatient Rehabilitation Average caseload of 3 to 4 patients per day 90-minute treatment sessions Focus on intensive rehabilitation and maximizing patient independence Key Responsibilities Perform physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans Provide evidence-based interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional performance Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation professionals, and care managers to optimize patient outcomes Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans, home exercise programs, and safety recommendations Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards Support discharge planning and care transitions across the continuum of care Maintain professional competency and compliance with departmental and hospital policies Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program Current Tennessee Physical Therapist license or eligibility for Tennessee licensure Current BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire Acute care experience preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical decision-making skills Ideal Candidate We are seeking a Physical Therapist who is passionate about helping patients achieve their highest level of function and who enjoys working across a variety of rehabilitation settings.
