Position Overview Specialty: Occupational Health Schedule: 2 days per week. Mon/Tues and TH each week Call Schedule: Practice Detail:  Working in Occupational Medicine to cover all workman's comp, injury prevention, and all aspects of occupational health EMR System: Systoc Facility:  Honda Lincoln Plant Location:  Honda plant in Lincoln, Alabama What You Will Do UAB St. Vincent's is looking for an  Occupational Medicine trained Physician for Part time coverage at our Honda plant. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with UAB St. Vincent's to provide medical services to patients. Position Highlights: Part time work with part time benefits Opportunity to oversee APPs in Georgia Honda plant location Small community with wide range of specialty resources within hospital network Opportunity to work at our Occupational Health Clinic in Birmingham if mutually agreed on Responsibilities: Occupational Injury care with main focus on difficult injuries and workcomp claims.  Fitness for Duty evaluations Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.  WorkComp claims management and oversight, not limited to causality statements, MMI/PPD, Collaboration with specialists Internal collaboration with Safety, ERGO etc. at the spot Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients. Fill in regular clinic duties on occasion with APP PTO, Sickness and Vacancies. Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital. Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested. Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner. Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules. What You Will Need Licensure/Certification/Registration: Licensed Graduate Doctoral Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred. Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
