Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
The Senior Planning Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end production planning strategy and execution within a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment. This role drives alignment across demand, supply, and capacity planning to achieve optimal service levels, inventory performance, and operational efficiency . The position partners closely with engineering, operations, supply chain, finance, and manufacturing leadership to enable data-driven decisions and scalable planning processes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing team of production planners, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
Own the development and execution of short- and long-term production plans , ensuring alignment to customer demand, capacity constraints, and business objectives
Drive end-to-end planning strategy , integrating demand, supply, and production plans within S&OP / IBP frameworks
Establish, standardize, and continuously improve planning processes, systems, and best practices across the organization
Provide strategic input to executive leadership through scenario modeling, capacity planning, and risk assessments
Oversee planning execution within ERP and advanced planning systems (e.g., SAP, MRP/MPS), ensuring data integrity and process discipline
Lead deep analysis of demand, capacity, and supply signals to identify gaps, risks, and optimization opportunities
Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including forecast accuracy, inventory turns, cycle time, service levels, and on-time starts , driving accountability and continuous improvement initiatives
Drive planning readiness and execution for new product launches (NPI) , product ramps, and lifecycle transitions
Partner with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to proactively mitigate risks related to capacity constraints, material shortages, and supply disruptions
Support executive reviews, audits, and operational readiness initiatives with data-driven insights and recommendations
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
10+ years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or operations within a semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environment
5+ years of leadership experience managing planning teams in complex, matrixed organizations
Strong expertise in assembly/test operations and manufacturing flow
Deep understanding of MRP, MPS, S&OP / IBP processes , and long lead-time material management
Proven experience driving process transformation, system optimization, and cross-functional alignment
Advanced proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and strong analytical capabilities (Excel, data modeling)
Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguous environments , influence without authority, and drive strategic decision-making
Minimum Qualifications
5 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree; or 3 years experience with a Master's degree; or PHD without work experience; or equivalent experience
Base Pay Range: $151,100.00 - $256,900.00 Annually
