Overview
Waters Corporation is seeking a talented and motivated high school Co-Op plumbing student to work in the building maintenance department at our Milford campus. This student will assist licensed plumbers in all aspects of the building’s plumbing systems in a large office, manufacturing, and laboratory facility. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to get into the trades and you will gain hands-on experience in the facilities environment.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of a licensed plumber, participate in both preventive and corrective maintenance work on plumbing equipment
Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and installations in large office, manufacturing, and laboratory facilities
Learn to operate a variety of hand and power tools
Under direction of supervisor, work with outside vendors on projects for plumbing systems
Perform other building maintenance tasks as required
Perform work in accordance with established safety procedures
Qualifications
Must have completed Junior Year of High School
Able to climb ladders and not afraid of heights
Computer literacy with basic understanding of Microsoft Office
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Operates with integrity, transparency, and has good work ethic
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Physically capable to perform frequent walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching, lifting and carrying, and tolerate exposure to warm and cold temperatures
