We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Owner supporting one of our premier programs within the Mission Engineering and Platform & Security Integration (PSI) Agile Release Train (ART). In this role, you will lead story definition, backlog prioritization, and work planning for an Agile development team, ensuring user stories are well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with program objectives. You will partner closely with Product Managers, Scrum Masters, software engineers, and systems engineers to maintain a healthy backlog that enables continuous delivery of mission-critical capabilities. This position is contingent upon contract award. The work is on-site in Aurora, CO. What You Will Do Own and maintain the team-level product backlog, ensuring user stories are prioritized, refined, and ready for execution. Decompose capabilities and features into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria that support mission and customer objectives. Validate completed work against acceptance criteria and approve story completion. Partner with the Scrum Master, Product Manager, and engineering teams to prepare upcoming sprints while maintaining long-term backlog health. Coordinate cross-team dependencies with other Product Owners to ensure alignment across Agile Release Train (ART) teams. Support capability elaboration, sprint planning, Program Increment (PI) Planning, sprint reviews, and technical program milestones. Incorporate systems engineering, integration, cybersecurity, and platform requirements into team-level backlog priorities. Communicate backlog priorities, team progress, risks, and dependencies to Product Management, Release Train Engineering (RTE), and program leadership. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience . Experience serving as a Product Owner, Backlog Manager, Business Analyst, Systems Engineer, or similar Agile role supporting software development. Experience decomposing capabilities and features into user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria and maintaining Agile product backlogs. Experience working in Agile development environments, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Program Increment (PI) Planning. Active and transferable U.S. government-issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer Experience supporting Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Agile Release Trains (ARTs), or other large-scale Agile development environments. Experience collaborating with Product Managers, Scrum Masters, Systems Engineers, and software development teams. Experience translating customer, operator, or mission needs into prioritized user stories and backlog items. Experience supporting systems engineering, mission capability development, or platform-based architectures. Experience coordinating cross-functional dependencies across integration, cybersecurity, platform, and software engineering teams. Experience using Agile collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar backlog management platforms. Experience supporting technical reviews, customer demonstrations, Program Increment (PI) Planning, and release planning activities.
