Purpose
Responsible for safely loading, unloading and moving materials in the plant.
Responsibilities
Alert Setup Technician and Changeover Technician using the light system to keep them informed of production status
Keep the work area clean and clutter free: pick up scrap material around the production lines and cut scrap off cores.
Perform quality control checks on product and ensure all are properly labeled before stacking finished product.
Packages bags/rolls and keeps accurate counts in computer system
Helps the team give 10 and 20 minute breaks
Alerts Setup Techs to questions or concerns by utilizing white stack light
Assembles boxes
Performs quality control checks on product and labels
Stacks finished product
Help pick up scrap around his/her lines, including change-over rolls.
Throws away all labels from previous job
Keeps work area clean and clutter free; including tables, scales and floors
Weighs boxes and enters into the computer system
Pulls resin as needed
Weighs, packages and labels finished product
Might be used for training new person.
Works a 12-hour day, 4 days a week; every other weekend is mandatory
May be required to lift up to 35 pounds.
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Manufacturing experience preferred
