For more than a decade, Crescent and our predecessors have executed on a consistent strategy focused on cash flow, risk management and returns.    Through disciplined and accretive investments, we have successfully tripled the size of our company since going public in December 2021 while maintaining a strong balance sheet.  The Production Engineer is responsible for maximizing production performance, minimizing downtime, and improving recovery across unconventional assets. This role works closely with field operations and cross-functional technical teams to identify optimization opportunities, execute well interventions, and implement data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with operational ownership to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective production results.    Key Responsibilities   1. Production Optimization & Surveillance   Monitor , evaluate, and standardize   well performance   surveillance   to identify trends, degradation, and optimization opportunities     Lead implementation of cash-flow-focused optimization initiatives, including operating parameter changes, debottlenecking, artificial lift optimization, and cost structure improvements   Co-lead cross functional engagements with reservoir to effectively forecast well performance   and support proactive intervention planning   2. Well Operations & Artificial Lift Management   Plan and execute production operations and well intervention   including   scopes of work, AFEs, and detailed well program s   for   workovers, recompletions, and routine maintenance   Design, select, and optimize artificial lift systems (rod pump, ESP, gas lift, plunger lift), including equipment sizing, failure analysis, operating envelope definition, and life-cycle cost optimization   Evaluate and apply emerging technologies to   enhance well   performance and reliability   3. Failure Analysis, Cost Management & Continuous Improvement   Diagnose root causes of equipment   and   well performance failures and implement corrective actions   through structure analysis.   Track, forecast, and manage LOE and capital expenditures to meet budget and KPI targets   and proactively understand variance to expectations.   Drive continuous improvement through standardization, best practices, and data-driven insights   to support planning, execution, and post-job evaluations.   4. Cross-Functional Collaboration, HSE & Reporting   Collaborate with reservoir, geology, completions, drilling, and facilities teams to align production strategies   to maximize asset cash flow.   Support completion and flowback optimization through   early-time   production analysis and feedback   Ensure compliance with all HSE, regulatory, and company standards   Prepare and present clear, data-driven recommendations to leadership, communicating risks and value   Qualifications   Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering   or related engineering discipline   5 + years of production engineering experience (unconventional experience preferred)   Strong knowledge of artificial lift systems and well intervention design   Proficiency in production data analysis and engineering software tools   Demonstrated ability to manage field operations and cross-functional projects   Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills   Work Environment   Combination of office-based analysis and regular field interaction   At least quarterly   travel to field locations required   Crescent Energy is an equal opportunity employer.
