The foundation uses various approaches, including access to the Texas Grants Resource Center (TGRC), grantmaking, convening, research, and public policy, to transform how communities promote mental health. The TGRC, initiated by Dr. Robert L. Sutherland in 1962, provides critical information and facilitates communication between tax-exempt entities and grantmakers. For more information, visit our website . Purpose The Hogg Foundation for Mental Health is seeking a Program Associate to join the Texas Grant Resource Center under the Foundation Initiatives Team. This position reports to the TGRC Administrator and requires regular on-site work to provide in-person consultations, support visitors, and maintain the day-to-day operations of the TGRC. Job Responsibilities Serve as a primary point of contact for TGRC visitors by managing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing individualized support through in-person and virtual consultations. Also, develop and maintain expertise in the Candid Foundation Directory to guide users in conducting effective grant research. 50% Support TGRC operations and data tracking, including maintaining visitor records, survey data, appointment logistics, and contributing insights to inform programming and resource improvements. 5% Develop and maintain monthly newsletter including statewide grant opportunities webpage, tracking funding cycles of Texas funders, identifying and highlighting relevant grant opportunities, and tailoring useful resources to support Texas nonprofits.   20% Assist in implementing strategic plan objectives, including helping to convene nonprofit resource centers and aid in efforts to conduct targeted outreach to communities without nearby resource centers. 15% Participate in various staff meetings, collaborate on cross-team initiatives, and support the planning and implementation of Hogg Foundation program activities. 10% Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Minimum of 2-3 years of database management and a desire to help others access information. Prior experience in roles that require direct interaction with the public, stakeholders, or customer service roles. The ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues, individuals with mental health lived experience, advocates, and other stakeholders. Minimum 2-3 years in a role managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve, develop solutions and think strategically about improving processes and outcomes. Effective written and verbal communication skills including the ability to clearly convey complex information to multiple audiences. Willingness and ability to travel occasionally within Texas. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn new software. Preferred Qualifications Higher education degree. Multilingual. Demonstrated interest in mental health, wellness, and/or nonprofit resource development.
