The Program Coordinator I, Recruiting & Admissions, supports recruitment initiatives for the Texas A&M Naresh K. Vashisht College of Medicine. This role conducts outreach across Texas and guides prospective students through the admissions process. Responsibilities include coordinating communications, events, and maintaining recruitment data. The position also builds community partnerships to strengthen the applicant pipeline and support mission-driven recruitment.

Salary: $45,000-$52,000/annually and w ill be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience .
Location/Schedule: Bryan, TX/Full-Time;
This position may require up to 50% or more travel
Ability to travel across Texas, including occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends

Responsibilities
Recruiting and Outreach:
Primarily responsible for recruiting prospective medical school students from various Texas communities, serving as the face of the Texas A&M Naresh K. Vashisht College of Medicine in the field
Travel to high schools, community colleges, college fairs, health career events, and community gatherings across Texas to deliver presentations and host informational sessions
Direct prospective students to the correct contacts for their specific admissions, financial aid, and academic questions
Coordinate program communications including prospect messaging, admissions follow-ups, and university-wide outreach campaigns
Maintain databases of prospective students and conduct targeted outreach campaigns to drive-top-of funnel applicant traffic
Build and sustain relationships with school districts, community organizations, local healthcare providers, and other regional stakeholders
Event Planning and Execution:
Plan and execute recruiting events including information sessions, admitted student days, community health fairs, and networking events
Meet individually with prospective students and families to promote the program and assist in completing applications
Respond to inquiries regarding program offerings, prerequisites, and student financial aid options
Office and Administrative Support:
Provide administrative support for specialized recruiting activities and projects
Manage scheduling and confirmation of prospective student interviews and appointments
Maintain interview calendars for multiple administrators and office needs
May supervise, train, and evaluate student workers as needed
Perform other duties as assigned, including support for broader Naresh K. Vashisht College of Medicine recruitment efforts

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two (2) years of related experience
Preferred Licenses and Certifications
A Class “C” vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) years of related experience in recruiting, administration, or a closely related higher education role
Bachelor's degree
Experience in student recruiting, admissions, or event planning
Familiarity with rural Texas communities and their unique healthcare and educational challenges
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the full Microsoft Office suite
Ability to develop and deliver presentations to small and large groups
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
This position requires significant travel to rural areas and across Texas including occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including experience developing outreach and communication plans
Ability to work independently in the field and as part of a collaborative team
Strong emotional intelligence, conflict management, organization, and customer service orientation
Ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines and shift priorities as needed
Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills suited to multiple audiences
Self-directed problem-solver comfortable making independent decisions with minimal supervision
Ability to deliver instruction and effectively adapt content to meet the needs of individuals and groups
