Job Summary General Summary Overview Statement: The MGH Center for Health Outcomes and Interdisciplinary Research (CHOIR) aims to advance clinical practice and research by developing and testing cutting-edge mind-body and lifestyle interventions. CHOIR is seeking a Project Coordinator for an NIH/NCCIH-funded UG3/UH3 clinical trial evaluating the efficacy of a mind-body intervention designed to prevent the development of chronic pain and disability among patients at high risk following traumatic orthopaedic injury. The project includes an initial UG3 planning phase focused on protocol finalization, regulatory approvals, staff training, and site readiness, followed by a UH3 efficacy phase that will enroll 510 participants across five sites: Mass General Brigham, the University of Kentucky, Dell Medical School, Vanderbilt University, and Duke University. The overarching goal of this work is to improve long-term recovery and reduce the burden of chronic pain and disability after traumatic orthopaedic injury. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Multiple Principal Investigators and Program Manager. The incumbent’s primary responsibilities will be leading the Clinical Research Coordinators at multiple sites in carrying out study activities which include assisting in developing processes for recruiting, consenting, enrolling, and retaining participants in the study; data collection and management; developing tracking systems; and assisting with financial tracking. The Project Coordinator will have additional opportunities to gain project management and clinical research experience at MGH CHOIR. We are seeking a Project Coordinator with excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, writing, and organizational skills. Our ideal candidate has prior experience in clinical research in a hospital based setting. We highly value experience and comfort of working with medical populations, and individuals from a variety of different backgrounds. Responsible for coordinating multiple project activities, managing documentation, and facilitating communication among team members to ensure the successful execution of projects. Tracks and ensures the schedule, budget, and details of project tasks are well organized. Organizes reporting, plans meetings, and provides updates to project managers. Provides guidance and support to other team members. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Maintains and monitors multiple project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures. -Organizes, attends, and participates in stakeholder meetings. -Documents and follows up on important actions and decisions from meetings. -Prepares necessary presentation materials for meetings. -Ensures project deadlines are met. -Ensures projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project. -Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable. -Create a project management calendar to fulfill each goal and objective. -Conducts research, maintains data in systems, and provides reports to support projects. Qualifications Education BA/BS required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Experience Administrative or project support experience. 3-5 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously. - Basic financial/accounting skills. - Strong oral and written communication skills. Working Conditions: The position will take place in the MGH CHOIR office environment and remotely. Some of the study work may require travel within the Boston area and will take place in community-based settings.
