About this Role
PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager I (PM I) to support the planning and execution of Transmission and Substation construction projects. This role is ideal for an early- to mid-career project management professional looking to grow within the electric utility construction industry while gaining hands-on experience managing complex infrastructure projects.
The PM I works closely with senior project managers, construction managers, field leadership, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and on budget.
What You'll Do
Support the management of transmission and substation construction projects from initiation through closeout
Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and safety teams
Help manage subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries
Track project progress and prepare status reports for internal leadership and clients
Support change order management, documentation, and contract compliance
Ensure work is performed in accordance with company policies, safety standards, and client requirements
Participate in project meetings, job briefings, and site visits
Assist with project closeout, including documentation, billing support, and lessons learned
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience supporting or managing Transmission and Substation construction projects
Strong understanding of electric utility construction practices and terminology
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed within the Region
Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
Must be based in or willing to relocate to the metro area.
