The Project Manager II leads the administration, execution, and delivery of complex commercial heating and cooling equipment projects, ensuring exceptional customer outcomes while providing leadership and guidance to the team. The ideal candidate is a strategic problem-solver who can successfully manage high-value, complex projects, anticipate challenges before they arise, and collaborate effectively with internal teams, contractors, vendors and customers.
Salary Range: $90,000-120,000
This position is eligible for full benefits, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and retirement options.
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
Project Leadership & Execution
Manages mid-to-large-sized HVAC equipment projects with increased complexity, scope and customer demands
Manages 30–35 HVAC equipment projects concurrently with varying scope and dollar value, typically ranging from $1M to $5M+
Oversees project execution from initiation to completion with minimal supervision
Coordinates with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project success
Manages project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring compliance with company policies and quality standards
Anticipates project risks and develops solutions before issues impact schedules, budgets, or customer satisfaction
Ability to identify important project stakeholders and proper escalation paths
Demonstrates sound judgment and confidently resolves challenging project situations
Maintains consistent communication with internal and external teams
Builds trusted relationships with customers by anticipating needs and delivering exceptional service
Develops and implements project strategies and process improvements that increase project efficiency and consistency
Provides leadership and guidance to Project Administrators and Project Manager I’s
Enters equipment orders, issues purchase orders, and ensures compliance with internal procurement processes
Reviews and approves vendor invoices; issues customer invoices; reconciles project financials to maintain profitability
Compare estimated ship dates with contractor schedules and adjust plans to maintain alignment
Generates service work orders for equipment start-ups and service visits
Opportunity to assume direct management responsibilities for members of the Project Management team.
Participates in company-provided training and stays current on industry best practices

Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 5 years of project management, HVAC, mechanical, or construction-related experience
Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment, construction process, and project execution
Proficient in Microsoft and ability to adapt to CRM software
Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and customer service skills
Financial literacy and experience managing budgets, forecasting, cost tracking, and profitability
Ability to work in a typical office environment with occasional job site visits
