Proposal Manager

Proposal Manager Reporting to the   Director , Proposals   Solutions   in the Sales Operations group, the position   focuses   on   supporting   multiple   business unit s   within a Shared Service environment .  The   successful candidate   will be a key member of the   P roposal   Solutions   team by planning, developing and producing all proposal deliverables required by the solicitation. You should also be able to provide a hands-on approach to the entire proposal development processes, including but not limited to identification of team member roles and responsibilities, development of outlines and delegation of assignments, monitoring and driving   timelines , ensuring compliance, and all other aspects of producing a winning proposal.   The   candidate   will work with   multiple stake holders to program manage the proposal effort , to ensure that proposals reflect the best technical, management, and price offerings that Curtiss-Wright can make to get to a winning position on RFQs and RFPs .    Location:   Remote (USA)   Salary Range: $ 108,900 - 135,000 per year plus bonus Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in Virginia. We Take Care of Our People Paid Time Off I 401K with Employer Match and Profit Sharing I Health and Wellness Benefits I Learning and Development Opportunities I Referral Program I Competitive Pay I Recognition I Employee Stock Purchase Plan  I Inclusive & Supportive Culture * Your Challenge:  Responds to RFQ/RFP releases and other calls for proposals; Drives proposal development individually and manages proposal   stakeholder   teams to ensure proposals meet all customer requirements; prepares and assists in submission of proposals to include review and compliance, outlining, and follow-through on compliant and timely proposal submission   with appropriate approvals;   Organizes and leads bid review meetings, including bid/no bid, and ensures winning strategies are established and clearly conveyed in the submission   as required (competitive bids)   Provides direction for the preparation of the technical, management, and cost inputs to achieve a response in line with the RFP requirements and bid strategy   Leads and organizes ongoing proposal meetings to identify and resolve problems and share information   Leads the assembly and production of a complete submission which meets all RFP requirements   Leads or participates in kick-off meetings; oversees team's effort through the writing process; oversees proposal reviews; obtains management and corporate approvals; and follows through on compliant and timely proposal submission   Manages multiple bids and proposals with dynamic priorities   Leads or supports process improvement initiatives   What you Bring University degree in Engineering, Business Management, Finance, or equivalent experience   Experience in   project m anagement is mandatory ,   with a m inimum   of   7-10   years related experience.   Strong knowledge   of   Aviation/ Aerospace market and customer base is mandatory   Proficient in Microsoft Office business applications   Proficient in ERP   (SAP) ,   MS Dynamics   CRM, or equivalents is desired but not mandatory   Strong skills in planning, problem solving,   critical thinking,   analysis, and research   Excellent written and oral communication     T eam leadership skills and experience   and proven   ability to work within a team ;   an a ctive listen er ,   collaborative,   forward leaning , and influential   Balanced business perspective    Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadline requirements with minimal supervision   Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; with a focus on team leadership   The   successful candidate will demonstrate the following key Guiding Principles:   Challenge the Status Quo   –   Constantly seek better ways   Seeking Solutions   – Focus on the solution instead of the problem   Collective accountability - Hold oneself, then others accountable for achieving   results   Who We Are Our Values Environmental, Social and Governance Curtiss-Wright's Defense Solution division is a trusted, proven leader, delivering superior products and services that meet the defense and aerospace industries' toughest challenges with best-in-class value.
