Job Description
Job Summary:
Join our team as a QC Technician supporting precision optical elements used in advanced infrared imaging systems. In this detail-driven, hands-on role, you’ll inspect lenses and mirrors to ensure they meet strict quality and performance standards. You’ll play a critical part in maintaining product excellence by verifying compliance, identifying issues early, and working closely with cross-functional teams to uphold the highest standards.
What You’ll Do:
Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished optical components (lenses, mirrors)
Evaluate surface quality (Scratch/Dig per MIL-PRF-13830) and mechanical attributes
Review supplier inspection data to ensure compliance with technical requirements
Perform precision measurements and visual inspections
Document results and maintain accurate quality records
Support disposition of nonconforming materials and collaborate on resolutions
Maintain and calibrate measurement equipment
Occasionally perform supplier site inspections
Contribute to a safe, organized, and continuous improvement-focused environment
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years of experience inspecting optical elements (MIL-PRF-13830B); infrared optics preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Familiarity with optical fabrication processes and technologies
Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
Strong communication and documentation skills
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Salary Range:
$62,800.00-$83,700.000
The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
