Job Description
Summary
The Radiologic Technologist PACS QAQC works with Medical Providers and/or Medical Assistants with the examination and treatment of Legacy-GoHealth Urgent Care patients and collaborates with operations teams to improve efficiency and develop their team members. This role is responsible for collaborating with operations teams to ensure staff is properly trained on quality control processes for clinical equipment and patient logs, which includes but is not limited to scheduling training and conducting ad-hoc reviews. This role is responsible for following operating instructions to perform and document daily controls and calibration of equipment; maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control logs for equipment troubleshoot breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and submit repair tickets as needed. This role is responsible for providing a variety of technical procedures and applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis for our Legacy-GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role is responsible for performing and analyzing patient x-rays and reporting results to Medical Providers. Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of Legacy-GoHealth Urgent Care Centers. In a collaborative manner, the Radiologic Technologist PACS QAQC will provide support to Medical Providers, Medical Assistants and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.
Job Requirements
Education
High School Diploma required
Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program required
Work Experience
Experience in a clinical setting preferred
Required Licenses/Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire, obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required at time of hire.
State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist is required at the time of hire (if applicable by state law).
Administrative Job Functions (QAQC)
Conduct operational and workflow review of sites worked in to document growth and development for the team.
Complete site assessments during administrative time to provide operational and clinical leadership on information to improve efficiency and develop their team members.
Work in collaboration with the operations teams to ensure staff is properly trained on quality control processes for clinical equipment and patient logs, which includes but is not limited to scheduling training and conducting ad-hoc reviews.
Responsible for reconciliation of ordered labs and results within the clinical systems for all clinics.
Follow standards and procedures and comply with legal regulations in effort to maintain safe secure, and healthy work environment.
Follow operating instructions to perform and document daily controls and calibration of equipment; maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control logs for equipment troubleshoot breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and submit repair tickets as needed.
PACS Job Functions
Complete preventive maintenance on radiology equipment to ensure consistent operation. Techniques may include following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, evaluating new equipment and techniques, etc.
Work closely with JV Partner’s Radiology department to ensure all studies submitted are diagnostic.
Ensure all studies performed balance the number of studies submitted to JV Partner.
Reconcile Radiology reports in the EMR system.
Train RTs on PACs and X-ray procedures, both in the classroom and clinical settings.
Other Essential Functions
Responsible for x-ray services as needed
Under the direction of the clinical provider, perform x-ray services for patients by applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age
