Position Objective
The Regional Manager – Heavy Industrial Electrical & Inside Wiring provides operational leadership and oversight for multiple projects and field teams within a designated region. This role serves as a critical link between executive leadership, project teams, and field operations, ensuring safe execution, operational consistency, client satisfaction, and strong financial performance.
The Regional Manager partners closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, and Operations Leadership to support project execution, workforce development, resource planning, and strategic growth initiatives across industrial and mission-critical construction markets.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Project Oversight
Lead regional operations across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives, customer expectations, and operational standards
Support Project Managers and field leadership throughout project planning, execution, and closeout
Monitor project performance related to safety, schedule, quality, productivity, and profitability
Assist in developing execution strategies that drive operational efficiency and successful project outcomes
Ensure proper allocation of labor, equipment, and resources across projects
Support project teams in identifying and resolving operational challenges, risks, and field constraints
Participate in project reviews and provide leadership guidance on complex or high-profile projects
Safety & Compliance
Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout all regional operations
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements
Partner with field leadership to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
Reinforce accountability for safety performance at all levels of the organization
Financial & Business Performance
Review project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, productivity, and cost controls
Collaborate with Project Managers to identify risks and opportunities that impact profitability
Support monthly operational and financial reviews with project leadership
Assist in the development and execution of regional business plans and growth strategies
Contribute to achieving revenue, margin, and operational performance objectives
Leadership Development & Team Building
Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Superintendents, and other operational personnel
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retention initiatives
Help identify and develop future leaders within the organization
Promote employee engagement and reinforce Michels Family values throughout the region
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Estimating, Procurement, Engineering, Safety, and Field Operations teams
Support bid strategy, project pursuits, and preconstruction planning efforts
Ensure effective communication and collaboration between office and field teams
Work with Operations Leadership to drive consistency in project delivery and execution standards
Share best practices and lessons learned across regions and project teams
Client, Labor & Stakeholder Relations
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, labor partners, and industry stakeholders
Support client engagement activities, ensuring responsiveness and long-term partnership development
Promote collaborative union and labor-management relationships where applicable
Represent Michels Power professionally in all customer-facing interactions
Culture & Continuous Improvement
Promote Michels Family of Companies' culture, policies, and core values
Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout regional operations
Encourage innovation and operational excellence across teams
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
10+ years of industrial, power, utility, or electrical construction experience
Progressive leadership experience managing multiple projects, teams, or geographic territories
Strong project management, operational, and financial management experience
Proven ability to lead teams and influence results in complex construction environments
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
Heavy industrial electrical construction experience
Experience supporting Oil & Gas, Industrial EPC, Power Generation, Hydroelectric, or Data Center projects
Multi-project leadership experience within a regional structure
Exposure to labor relations and union environments
Experience leading large-scale electrical infrastructure
