Job Posting Title: Registered Dietitian Location: Dallas - Hospital Additional Posting Details: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm with rotating weekend call Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities Utilizes the Nutrition Care Process to perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and reassessments while using age-appropriate standards and validated tools to include nutrition related diagnosis using the eNCP terminology approved by the Academy of Nutrition and dietetics. Respond to consults and nutrition referrals within the established time frame Facility and or based on department policy and patient outcome Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting nutrition interventions as needed Communicate with medical team regarding nutrition intervention or plan of care through verbal, written, or electronic communication Provides nutrition education to patients and families with the patient’s preferred learning style/readiness for change/cultural belief Support enteral and parenteral nutrition therapy when applicable and communicate recommendations with the medical team Participate in Hospitalist rounding, interdisciplinary meetings, and/or discharge rounds as needed. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals Communicates and coordinated meals, supplements, and enteral feeding regimen with the FNS staff Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, regulatory standards, and hospital policies Serves as a preceptor for dietetic interns Required Skills/Abilities Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) credential required, or eligibility to sit for the registration exam within six months of hire. Pediatric nutrition experience preferred. #P2
