Summary Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN)   Full -Time,  Third Shift    BHCOR- Cor Adolescent Psych Cd   Unit   I Corbin, KY   The Adolescent Psychiatric unit is   an   14-bed acute stabilization unit for adolescent patients with a primary psychiatric/chemical dependency diagnosis. The Adolescent inpatient psychiatric program specializes in adolescent acute care for patients aged 12 - 17 with   primary   DSM5 or ICD10 diagnosis.   Performs   care   requires   substantial specialized knowledge , judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological,   physical   and social sciences in the application of the nursing process. Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs, incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards.   Description:    Provides safe, high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans. Monitors patient conditions, administers treatments and physician orders, and documents patient care accurately.    Educates patients and families   regarding   treatment plans, procedures, and discharge needs.    Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support positive patient outcomes and continuity of care.    Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, leadership, and teamwork in daily nursing   practice .    Maintains compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, licensure, and continuing education standards.     Requirements:    Graduate   of   an accredited School of Nursing with a current RN license in the state of Kentucky or Kentucky work permit   required .    Associate degree in Nursing   required ;   Bachelor’s   degree preferred.    No experience   required ; patient care experience preferred.    BLS certification through the American Heart Association   required   within   30 days   of hire.    Additional   required training includes Glucometer, Aegis, RN Patient Deterioration, Life-Threatening Arrhythmia, and Nurse Wound Care training within established   timeframes .     Benefits: Health,   Vision, Dental and Pet Insurance   Life Insurance   Short Term and Long-Term Disability and Life Insurance   Identity Theft Protection   Tuition Reimbursement up to $6,000 annually    Company paid Maternity and Paternity Leave    5 days of Paid Time Off available upon hire    Bereavement Leave (includes pets)    PTO Sell Back Program    Compassionate Leave Sharing Program (PTO Donation)   Employee Support Fund, for employees in need of emergency financial support    Retirement with Company Match   Work Experience Education If you would like to be part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork and innovation, we urge you to apply now!
