Job Posting Title: Respiratory Therapist Location: Dallas - Hospital Additional Posting Details: PRN, As needed Monday - Sunday 12-hour shifts Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities Responsible for the management of respiratory care Role encompasses direct patient care by providing patient assessments, interventions, and coordination of respiratory plan of care Assist the Respiratory Clinical Manager in the education of staff, patients, and families; performs thorough developmentally-appropriate respiratory assessment Communicate and collaborate with other health care professionals, patients and families.  Perform comprehensive respiratory care evaluations for the patient (inpatient and outpatient) population and families  Assess the need for respiratory care-related equipment and supplies Participate in performance improvement efforts related to respiratory therapy Required Skills/Abilities Must be a graduate of an accredited school for respiratory care Respiratory Therapist (RRT) per the National Board of Respiratory Care required Current license to practice Respiratory Care by the Texas Medical Board  Minimum 2 years of acute care practice; pediatric experience and Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS) preferred Current BLS and PALS Certification required Working Environment Working Conditions: Inside Working Position: Sitting, Standing, and Walking Physical Demands: Medium/Heavy Physical Requirements: Lifting/Carrying, Pushing/Pulling and Repetitive Movements Lifting or carrying between 25 - 50 lbs. Sensory/Communicative activities essential to the performance of this position: Hearing, Seeing, and Speaking This position will be exposed to Inside Environments, Bloodborne Pathogens, Chemical Hazards, and Respiratory Hazards
