Why is this Respiratory Therapist role different At Apria, you’ll experience a unique blend of clinical autonomy, meaningful patient interaction, and supportive team collaboration. This role offers a combination of time in the branch and time in the field, allowing you to develop both patient‑facing clinical skills and strong workflow independence. You’ll provide essential respiratory care, equipment setup, patient education, and clinical support, playing a key role in ensuring safe transitions from hospital to home. Key highlights Hours: 9:00 - 5:30 pm. Flexible schedule; overtime as needed Daily check‑in at the branch with flexibility based on patient needs and hospital discharges Hybrid-style role combining branch responsibilities and field visits Salary range $32.00-$39.00 per hour. Compensation may vary based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, education, and location. On‑Call transparency On‑call rotation every 2 weeks May include responding to urgent patient needs and hospital discharges What you’ll do Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop Set up and operate respiratory care equipment including oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, and ventilation systems Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operating condition Perform clinical assessments such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry, and vital signs Perform other duties as required What we look for Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active RT license Ability to stand, lift, push, and/or pull 10–50 lbs Valid driver’s license Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation Ability to hold multiple RT licenses if covering more than one state Education Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program Certificates, licenses, registrations or professional designations Current RCP or RRT license in the state(s) of practice (as required) Current CPR Certification All applicable licenses in good standing If you feel this opportunity could be the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply.
