Summer is our busiest season. This is Big Sky Country for a reason—summer here doesn’t feel small. We are seeking experienced Progressice Care nurses to join us for a 13-week seasonal assignment and help care for our community when demand is at its highest. At Logan Health, seasonal RNs are not viewed as temporary help—they are fully integrated members of the Progressive Care Unit team. From day one, you will work alongside experienced nurses, providers, therapists, case managers, and support staff to deliver exceptional care to patients with complex cardiac, respiratory, renal, and medical conditions requiring advanced monitoring and specialized nursing interventions. As a Seasonal RN in our PCU, you'll work with high-acuity patients, tackling complex conditions such as heart failure, arrhythmias, and respiratory issues. You’ll also play a critical role in post-operative cardiac care, handling heart catheterizations, pacemakers, and more, while gaining experience in advanced respiratory and kidney disease care. Qualified candidates must have at least 2 years of prior experience working in a unit that provides care for patients with similar needs. Seasonal Position Details: Seasonal Assignment Details 13-week seasonal assignment 36 hours per week (3x12-hour shifts) 15% seasonal premium pay $1,000 bonus after 30 days $1,000 bonus after 60 days $2,000 completion bonus What We're Looking For Current Montana RN license or compact license eligibility 2+ years of Critical Care experience NIHSS certification preferred Strong critical thinking, communication, and prioritization skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment 🌿 Seasonal Nursing in Northwest Montana – Where Your Work and Your Time Off Both Matter As a seasonal nurse here, you’re not just filling a staffing need—you’re stepping into a community that experiences significant seasonal growth driven by tourism, recreation, and regional demand. Off the clock, you’ll have the chance to experience: Harvest festivals, craft fairs, and seasonal community events throughout the valley Missoula’s fall arts season, including theater, live music, and cultural programming Early snowfall dusting higher elevations near Glacier National Park Small-town evenings in places like Bigfork and Whitefish A quieter pace across trails, roads, and outdoor spaces 🍁 August 24 – November 21 | Late Fall Transition Into Early Winter This final stretch offers a rare opportunity to experience Montana’s seasonal shift in real time. When you’re not caring for patients, you might be: Watching the first snowfall settle into the surrounding mountains and Glacier National Park Exploring holiday markets and seasonal community events beginning to appear in local towns Enjoying Missoula’s indoor concert, theater, and arts season Taking quiet walks on uncrowded trails and scenic drives through the valley Experiencing a strong sense of local community as the pace slows and winter approaches 🍂 September 7 – December 5 | Peak Fall Into the Holiday Season Experience Northwest Montana during one of its most beautiful and beloved seasons. When you're not caring for patients, you might be: Taking in vibrant fall colors throughout Glacier National Park and the Flathead Valley Exploring local harvest festivals, farmers markets, and seasonal events Hiking among golden larch trees and enjoying crisp mountain air on uncrowded trails Visiting charming mountain towns decorated for the holidays Experiencing the first snowfall of the season and the anticipation of winter recreation ❄️ September 21 – December 19 | Fall Colors, First Snowfall & Holiday Magic This assignment offers a front-row seat to Montana's transition from autumn to winter.
