Each team contributes to DXC's success and each individual delivers world class service and has opportunities to grow and learn About the Role Reporting to the Senior Manager, External Communications, the Senior Analyst External Communications plays a key role in shaping the organization’s external presence across earned, social, owned, and paid channels. The role centers on driving strong, data-informed external communications through proactive media relations, rigorous measurement, and high‑quality content development. The position supports end‑to‑end media engagement – drafting press materials and background briefs, pitching and staffing interviews, and managing agency‑led press opportunities – while continuously monitoring and analyzing coverage to deliver clear insights and recommendations. A strong emphasis is placed on media measurement and reporting, with responsibility for monthly coverage reports, performance analysis, and using metrics to refine communication tactics. The role also contributes to the development and execution of external communication strategies, including press releases, social content, and messaging for product launches, customer stories, and organizational initiatives, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and business objectives. Essential Job Functions: Media Relations   Support proactive media outreach efforts, including drafting press materials, pitching media, preparing background briefs, and staffing interviews.  Manage proactive press opportunities working with public relations agency partners.  Monitor and analyze media coverage and provide summaries, insights, and recommendations.  Analytics & Reporting   Prepare monthly coverage reporting documents highlighting performance metrics, areas of success, and opportunities for improvement.  Analyze the effectiveness of communication initiatives using data‑driven insights.  Contribute to ongoing refinement of communication tactics based on performance results.  Communication Strategy & Execution   Contribute to the development and execution of comprehensive external communication plans for company initiatives including product launches, customer success stories and organizational initiatives. Coordinate and support communication efforts across key message creation, press release writing, social media content, and proactive media relations. Collaborate with team members to refine communication strategies and strengthen brand positioning. Support cross departmental communication needs, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Professional Development & Collaboration   Stay informed on industry trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to enhance communication strategies and departmental performance.  Share industry best practices with communications team to expand professional skills with a focus on bringing AI use cases to the full team that can leverage.  Demonstrate strong commitment to team success, collaboration, and continuous improvement.  Basic Qualifications:    Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience    Must be legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorshipnow nor in the future Typically, 5 years of relevant work experience in Technology industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role   In House Public Relations, Media Relations, and Data analytics proven experience Proven experience in Marketing and Communications   Proficiencies in media relations, media measurement, social media channels, and strategic communications  Continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology  Work Environment Hiring on East Coast preferably If you live within 40 km (25 miles) of a DXC office, you are expected to work onsite at least two days per week. Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $66,700 - $123,900.
