We're looking for a Sales Associate to join our dynamic team in Portland, United States. In this role, you'll be the face of our organization, connecting with customers, understanding their needs, and helping them find solutions that truly work for them. Identify and engage potential customers through various channels, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and digital outreach
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with both new and existing customers
Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand customer goals and recommend customized solutions
Present product features, benefits, and value propositions in a clear, compelling, and professional manner
Generate qualified leads and maintain an organized pipeline using CRM systems
Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and key performance indicators while maintaining quality standards
Prepare and deliver personalized proposals and presentations tailored to customer needs
Guide customers through the entire sales process, from initial consultation to closing and beyond
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer interactions, sales activities, and follow-ups in the CRM
Stay current with product knowledge, industry trends, market developments, and regulatory requirements
Provide exceptional ongoing customer service, including policy reviews, renewals, and customer support
Collaborate with team members and management to develop and refine sales strategies and best practices
Handle customer inquiries and concerns with empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to resolution
Organize your time effectively to balance prospecting, client meetings, administrative tasks, and professional development
**Required Qualifications:**
Proven sales experience or demonstrated success in a customer-facing role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information clearly
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a genuine passion for helping others
Ability to analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions
Proficiency with CRM software and general computer applications
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet ambitious sales targets
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain professional relationships
Problem-solving mindset with resilience in handling objections and challenges
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field
Prior experience in a consultative sales environment
Knowledge of industry trends and market dynamics
Experience with lead generation and pipeline management
Familiarity with negotiation techniques and closing strategies
Certification or training in sales methodologies or customer relationship management
Bilingual capabilities (a plus for our Portland market)
