At ScholarNet, we're growing. We're looking for a sales-driven Sr. Associate with deep working knowledge of financial aid to win new campus and lender partners and expand our market share in the higher-education marketplace.
The ScholarNet team is looking for a sales-driven, results-oriented individual with deep working knowledge of financial aid to grow our business by representing ScholarNet products in the higher-education marketplace, and engage with potential new customers. We have a highly successful and well-established product line positioned for growth with a great customer base. The right candidate must be a strong new-business hunter with deep working knowledge of financial aid and private loan processes, an effective problem solver, and a skilled relationship builder driven to grow market share. An ability to work independently and collaboratively to create sales plans for a defined territory is necessary. Must also be able to evaluate sales success and provide ongoing strategies and plans to ensure growth targets are being met.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive territory sales strategy by developing and executing outreach and communications plans that generate qualified leads, win new customers, and move opportunities through the pipeline
Own and manage the sales calendar for territory, tracking open opportunities, forecasting close dates, and prioritizing activity to hit revenue targets
Maintain CRM discipline — log activity, track opportunity stages, and use data to prioritize accounts and follow-up
Generate and convert leads at conferences and events , building a robust pipeline of new business and expanding ScholarNet's market share
Build and grow school partnerships as a core new-business sales channel, driving new enrollment and expanding our customer base
Build and grow lender relationships as a referral and new-business channel, prospecting new partners to drive incremental revenue
Partner with the care center on customer issue resolution, staying accountable for outcomes that affect renewal and expansion opportunity
Onboard and train customers post-sale to drive adoption, satisfaction, and upsell/renewal opportunity
Protect brand consistency across territory sales efforts, ensuring messaging aligns with corporate positioning
Partner with creative and production teams to get sales collateral and campaigns turned around and into the field fast
Apply deep working knowledge of financial aid and private loan processes to consult with customers and internal teams, uncovering needs and competitive gaps and translating those insights into sales strategy and pitch positioning
Track and report on sales KPIs — pipeline velocity, close rate, new customer acquisition, territory revenue — to evaluate and improve performance
Represent the company at state, regional, and national conferences as a direct sales presence, prospecting and closing in the field
Travel during fall and spring peak conference seasons to maximize in-person selling opportunities
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE:
5-10 years of experience in financial aid or private loans required
Sales experience required
COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
High level of verbal and written skill required
Sales experience required, with a demonstrated track record of new business development and revenue growth
Deep working knowledge of financial aid products, processes, and regulations
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Performs a variety of tasks
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Must be able to handle high volume of projects
People leadership and decision-making skills
Excellent customer service skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently or in a group
Compensation range for this role is $85,000 -$95,000 annually, plus sales incentives depending on experience.
