Position: Scientist Location: South Plainfield, NJ Duration: Contract to hire (3-6 months contract) Job Summary Scientist II reports to and takes direction from the Associate Director, R&D. Scientist II is knowledgeable in the areas of method development, method validation, and drug characterization. Develop and validate methods for experimental drug candidates. Perform characterization studies for impurities, degradants, intermediates, and active components of drug substances and drug products. Technical experience must include analysis of proteins by HPLC (SEC, RP-HPLC, IEX), electrophoretic techniques (SDS-PAGE, IEF, Western blotting), and spectroscopy (UV and VIS). Write and review method transfer protocols and method SOP’s Perform analytical testing to support process development and release/stability testing. MS or PhD in a scientific discipline or equivalent and 3-4 years related experience; may include post-doctoral experience. Excellent knowledge of scientific principles and concepts. Other special projects and/or duties may be assigned by Management.
