Position Summary
The Scrum Master will join the Commercial Data and AI team to enable Agile delivery across data, analytics, and AI initiatives. This role will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments, strengthen team ways of working, and support transparent communication across product, technology, business, leadership, and vendor stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as Scrum Master and servant leader for Agile teams within Commercial Data and AI, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and cross-functional ceremonies.
Manage Agile delivery activities in Jira, including boards, workflows, dashboards, filters, reporting, permissions, and governance standards.
Partner with Product Managers, Technical Managers, and stakeholders to support backlog readiness, prioritization, sprint planning, dependency tracking, and delivery decision-making.
Identify, escalate, and help resolve impediments, risks, issues, and cross-team dependencies that may impact delivery timelines, scope, quality, or team productivity.
Track and report delivery metrics, including velocity, capacity, throughput, cycle time, burndown, delivery predictability, automation impact, AI adoption, and operational efficiency.
Prepare teams for leadership reviews by developing automated status reports, dashboards, and executive-ready updates that communicate progress, value delivered, risks, dependencies, and decisions needed.
Translate delivery data into actionable insights and leadership narratives that highlight team accomplishments, business value, process improvements, AI-enabled ways of working, and opportunities to improve execution.
Facilitate clear, structured communication across Agile teams, product owners, leadership stakeholders, external partners, and vendors to ensure alignment on priorities, expectations, and outcomes.
Coach and mentor teams on Agile principles, Scrum practices, Jira usage, continuous improvement, accountability, and effective collaboration.
Use Confluence and related platforms to document processes, maintain project artifacts, support knowledge sharing, and enable consistent ways of working across teams.
Support the use and maintenance of project and product management skills files, including skills.md, to enable Claude integration, reusable automation patterns, standardized Agile workflows, leadership reporting, backlog management, and day-to-day delivery support.
Operate with appropriate independence in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, proactively surfacing issues, facilitating resolution, and supporting delivery across multiple service and application teams.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of Agile delivery frameworks and practices, including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or equivalent Agile/Product-based models.
Advanced Jira experience, including project configuration, boards, workflows, dashboards, filters, permissions, reporting, and Agile governance.
Working knowledge of Confluence for process documentation, knowledge management, Agile workflow support, and collaboration.
Strong leadership communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex delivery information into clear, concise updates for senior stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and present delivery data with accuracy, attention to detail, and business relevance.
Hands-on experience managing timelines, budgets, issues, risks, dependencies, action items, and delivery metrics in a fast-paced environment.
Experience supporting backlog refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity tracking, retrospectives, capacity planning, risk management, and dependency management.
Excellent facilitation, coaching, negotiation, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Technical Managers, Agile teams, vendors, and business stakeholders in global, matrixed, and distributed environments.
Demonstrated focus on improving processes, structures, knowledge management, automation, and team ways of working to increase delivery effectiveness.
Familiarity with AI-enabled ways of working, automation opportunities, Claude integration, and project/product management skills files such as skills.md is preferred.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
5+ years of proven experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Project Manager, or Agile delivery lead, with demonstrated experience supporting technology, application, service, DevOps, data, analytics, or AI teams; 7+ years is preferred.
Experience working in Agile/Product-based technology delivery environments, including exposure to product development, backlog management, roadmap execution, platform delivery, and cross-functional release planning.
